Paw!!!!!
Chris J, Columbus OH - 3/12/2008

I'm a huge Buckeye but I'm a huge Bobcat too! Bobcat logos put the Bucks to shame! Glad to see the paw back keep up the great work!
Jamie W, Woodstock OH - 2/18/2008

GO BOBCATS!
Melanie, Athens OH - 2/9/2008

Pawprint .. It's OU!
Darlene B, Ada OH - 1/24/2008

I like them both. The Paw symbolizes my time at OU but I do love the Attack Cat. Both should be used.
John R, Aurora IN - 1/22/2008

I have always associated the Pawprint with OU. That was the logo when I attended. I am glad to see that items are now available that I can purchase with the Pawprint.
Kathy, Parma OH - 1/19/2008

The attack cat looks cheap. The paw rocks!
Wendy K, Nelsonville OH - 1/10/2008

Why mess with a good thing. As it has been said before 'If it ain't broke don't fix it'.
Belinda, Circleville OH - 12/19/2007

Are you kidding me? I'm a pawprint girl from way back! Death to the attack cat!
Juli R, Westerville OH - 12/15/2007

Pawprint always seemed a bit more original and less 'Mickey Mouse' than the 'attack cat'.
Doug W, Dublin OH - 11/30/2007

TRADITION! Bring the paw print back.
Ron M, Fairborn OH - 11/29/2007

I think these two logos plus the full length Bobcat should all be available for merchandising. The University should continue to use the Attack Cat for official releases.
Henry B., Chillicothe OH - 11/29/2007

Glad to see you have a nice selection with the pawprint. Thanks.
Doug G, Cambridge OH - 11/25/2007

Like both logos - should have both available at all times
Sandra A., Athens OH - 11/23/2007

Bring back the paw print forever
Heather C., North Olmsted OH - 11/21/2007

I think that both of these logos represent my college really well! I was very upset to hear that the paw print was banned! Thank you thank you thank you for bringing back the paw print even if it is only for a short time. I intend on making sure that I replace and add to the apparel that was well recognized as being specifically OU! Go Bobcats!
Julia J, Brunswick OH - 11/7/2007

Thank you thank you God almighty thank you for your work to bring the paw back.
Joseph C, Dublin OH - 11/5/2007

Thank God we got the pawprint back!
Jason J, Goose Creek SC - 10/22/2007

I am glad to see the pawprint. That puts OU over the top. The attack cat is okay but nothing says OU like the PAW!
Chuck H, Newark OH - 10/22/2007

I am glad that we are able to buy the paw again. I grew up with the paw and then graduated from OU and I think it is not fair to discontinue something that to me means OU.
Dave, Logan OH - 10/19/2007

I don't exactly love the attack cat it has grown on me a bit put I love the paw thank God it's back.
Dustin H, Yucca Valley CA - 10/14/2007

The paw was in vogue when I was in school. While we have gotten used to the 'attack kitty' we are still loyal to the paw!
Scott B, Mount Vernon OH - 10/6/2007

I love OU. The militaristic heavy-handed view the administartion had/has of the paw is an embarassment. I speak with alumni and although we are mildly disappointed with the switch we are dumbfounded that the FAMOUS pawprint is looked upon with such hatred. It seems so unnecessary to hate a pawprint and go out of the way to make sure it is not used. CLEARLY the majority of alumni and probably students like it and at the very least it should be an option or secondary logo. Why the concentrated effort to extinguish it? Is it politically incorrect? Is there something we are missing? Use whatever logo you want but dont waste so much time fighting a logo that was practically synonomous with OU when we were there. People used to give us money when we returned to school to send them a 'paw' shirt. Hope thats constructive enough .. now excuse me while I buy as much Paw stuff as I can before the executives meet again. Sincerely Mike M. (and every OU grad I have ever spoken to) Columbia SC
Michael M, Columbia SC - 10/3/2007

Glad to see they finally brought (the paw) back!
Donna E., Ashland OH - 9/29/2007

Bring back the PAW!
James P, Medina OH - 9/27/2007

I was in my last year at OU when the university replaced the paw with that cartoon cat. One of the things I miss about Athens was every fall you would see paw-prints every where leading to OU. When they took up that stupid looking cat I was so upset. I'm soooooo glad to see that the paw is back!
Marty, Phoenix AZ - 9/23/2007

The logo changed while I was at OU and while the attack cat has its place my heart is with the paw. It's nice to see the paw back and to be able to buy merch with the paw on it.
Nicole A, Murrells Inlet SC - 9/19/2007

I love the pawprint! Please keep it!!
Kara H, Cedarburg WI - 9/15/2007

The pawprint should STILL be used on ALL athletic gear. Remember when it adorned the side of the football helmet? Even if the attack cat emblem were on the helmet it would look much better than just the word OHIO. The 1st thing many people notice at a football game is the emblem on the helmet. The PAWPRINT was really cool. I never knew why it was discontinued. It couldn't have been politically incorrect could it?
Joe A, Barnesville OH - 9/14/2007

I grew up on the Pawprint and I'm happy to see that it's back on shelves at College Book Store (CBS). CBS always had the best gear of the book stores and I'm happy to see they've listened to the alums. I'll be sporting my Pawprint gear in Kansas City when the Bobcats take on Kansas in basketball on Dec. 15! I hope to see many other Paws in the stands that day.
Stann T, Kansas City MO - 9/13/2007

The pawprint was taken away when I was at OU. I regret not buying more OU merch with the pawprint. Luckily the alumni sticker I have has a pawprint. I've never liked the attack cat and I don't know many people who do.
Nora, Cleveland OH - 9/6/2007

The paw is too generic. It is overused. Schools as big as Clemson and as small as Hanover. Actually looks like a cheap way to genralize marketing. It says nothing about OHIO UNIVERSITY or who we are. GO BOBCATS! '72
Mike O, Cincinnati OH - 9/9/2007

Yay!! Now bring back shotglasses!
Staci-Rae B, Chicago IL - 9/6/2007

THANK GOD THE PAW IS BACK! Please don't take it away again! Those of us pre-Attack Cat grads are still spending money at this University. We'd like to be able to purchase items that we associate with O.U. Not some lame cat
Nancy, Pickerington OH - 9/6/2007

NICE!
John G, Lakewood OH - 9/5/2007

I am Alumni and we must have the pawprint- I was sad when it was gone and thrilled to hear that it is back.
Nancy G., Steubenville OH - 9/4/2007

Long live the pawprint!
Carrie B, Chillicothe OH - 9/4/2007

Great to see the original return!! The College Book Store has always been the best. Thanks for all the efforts to bring the Paw back and I can't wait to place my first order for some of the new merchandise. Way to go CBS!
Glenn F., Lompoc CA - 9/4/2007

I've always said the university was taking something special away from alumni by getting rid of the paw. I know in recent years my wife and I didn't buy a lot during our homecoming pilgrimage because there were very few items without the attack cat logo. I'm looking forward to our next trip so we can re-stock our closets with Bobcat Paws!!
Jon Kellicker, North Canton Ohio - 9/4/2007

I'm glad they brought back the pawprint it's too bad that it wasn't there while I was going to OU.
Heather H, Coshocton OH - 9/1/2007

I am glad the paw is back!! Need to let folks know its back by putting it in the newsletters and newspaper. Those that graduated with the PAW will be glad to see it back. Thanks for bringing it back!
Julie M, Plain City OH - 9/1/2007

Thank you its about time someone brought it back! You don't mess with history and tradition.
Aimee Parsley-White, Granville OH - 8/31/2007

YEAH!
Lauren, The Plains OH - 8/31/2007

The Pawprint was the logo when I was in school. I would like to still be able to buy apparel with the logo. That is what I identify my time in Athens with the Pawprint. To me OU = the Pawprint.
Paul Gaynor, Lakewood OH - 8/31/2007

I thought it was a crime to take away the paw when so many students opposed it. Long live the Paw!!
Heather M, Baltimore MD - 8/30/2007

I think we have Kirby Hocutt to thank for the return of the Paw. I spoke with him about it at a Toledo or was it a BG football alum event and sent him results from this survey. He was the one who had the ability to get the Paw back and here it is! So stand up and cheer for Kirby yeah Paw Print and go Bobcats! Bennett '70
Bennett, Evergreen CO - 8/30/2007

The pawprint logo will always be synonymous with OU for me. I understand that this 'upgrade' was part of a repackaging campaign for Ohio as a legitimate athletics school. I'm all for national exposure and respect just don't mess with tradition. Ever seen the Cleveland Browns 'logo'?
Scott H, Evanston IL - 8/29/2007

Glad the pawprint is back!
Cheryl P., Columbus OH - 8/28/2007

I like both the cat is the mascot but the paw is cool for up the sleeves or on a pocket.
Kendra F, Streetsboro OH - 8/28/2007

Yay! You brought it back! I never liked the mean-looking Attack Cat. College is about things other than competitive sports!
Barb S, Cincinnati OH - 8/28/2007

Thank you so much College Book Store for helping and being a sounding board for us to get our point across We Love the Paw Print - and even if it doesn't get to be the sports Logo It should STAY around as an enduring logo for student apparel.
Blue P, Charlotte NC - 8/28/2007

Long live the paw!
Trina S, Galloway OH - 8/27/2007

Bring back the paw for GOOD!
Kristin C, Athens OH - 8/27/2007

I grew up in Athens and OU was identified by the pawprint - it is fun it is simple everyone can relate to a pawprint. Not everyone identifies with the attack cat.
Barbara D, Athens OH - 8/24/2007

In '97 or '98 when the A-Cat was introduced we ALL hated it but had no voice in the matter. I'm glad to see that the paw is back!
Dave M, Cleveland OH - 8/23/2007

It's not supposed to be about the sports it's a SCHOOL! The paw represents all. Besides the attack cat is ugly and Bobcats are beautiful cats!
Karen M, Sandusky OH - 8/23/2007

Will more likely buy OU items with paw print on it than I did with cat on it.
Patty O, Washington Court House OH - 8/23/2007

I'm delighted the Paw is back. Maybe Ohio University can start to turn things around!
Gary C, Mansfield OH - 8/22/2007

Thank God! Now where are all the pawprint ball caps?
Rhonda L, Dublin OH - 8/22/2007

Why we ever changed is beyond me!
Mark S, Cincinnati OH - 8/22/2007

Bring the PAW back for good.
Jeff D, Mentor OH - 8/22/2007

They phased out the paw print right before I came to school at OU and now that I am gone they bring it back!?!? I am glad it is back.
Danielle F, Tucson AZ - 8/22/2007

I've lived in Athens my entire life and grew up with the Paw. When they took it away I was really upset; but now I'm so excited that it's back! The Paw will forever be the best OU logo.
Kelsy P, Athens OH - 8/22/2007

I HATE the attack cat the pawprint has been an OU icon in my memory since I was a small child. Thank GOD it has been brought out of retirement. I was so angry when OU decided it couldn't be used anymore. I feel like all is right with the world.
Jess, Fairfield OH - 8/22/2007

I graduated in 1997 and have been embarrassed about our attack cat logo ever since it came out. It was just too cartoon or too high school-like. I understand we wanted to create a different identity from Clemson University the same way we went to being called Ohio versus OU to differentiate our school from Oklahoma University but the attack cat completely missed its attempt to distinguish our school's logo from other schools. The paw is much more distinguishable and classy. I love that it is back. I hope it is here to stay.
Bill G, Mentor OH - 8/22/2007

LOVE the pawprint! Attack cat too cartoony.
Amy D, Geneva IL - 8/21/2007

Alum want the paw print back!
Miller M, Orlando FL - 8/21/2007

The Paw represented Ohio when I started my college experience. It's nice to have it back as a part of the University.
Eric C, Canal Winchester OH - 8/21/2007

It is about time. As an alum I would not buy things with the Attack Cat logo because I do not identify that with Ohio University. I looked for things with just the word Ohio. Now I will resume buying merchandise with the Paw!
Rachel H, Cincinnati OH - 8/21/2007

PAW!!!!
Joseph, Columbus OH - 8/21/2007

While I was a student during the paw era and have a soft spot in my heart for it the paw is awfully passive as a sports logo and therefore I prefer the Attack Cat for the sports teams. It seems silly that the paw was legislated out of existence and perhaps it could use a 21st century makeover to increase it's impact and make it more distinctive and actually serve as an alternate logo for the athletics department. Most major leagues have made an industry out of alternate or 'third' jerseys and this seems like the perfect opportunity for the University to get creative and compromize on this polarizing issue while profiting from it not to mention appeasing most people that actually have an opinion on the matter. Wouldn't it be something to see the football team charging the field against Miami on a November afternoon sporting a newly upgraded paw print uniforms reserved for just such a special outing? Now that is the type of compromise I would like to see.
Dave A., Wellesley Hills MA - 8/21/2007

The pawprint IS OU. No doubt about it. Glad it's back. OU '95
Kristin C., Parma Heights OH - 8/21/2007

The paw is old generic and too many schools use just a pawprint. It says nothing about our school. If you saw it would you think OHIO UNIVERSITY? The attack cat is a great logo and when paired with the OHIO just above the cat its a sweet balanced logo. GO BOBCATS!
Frank S, Perry OH - 8/21/2007

I like the Attack Cat for things like flags but I like the pawprint for shirts. We have so much with the Attack Cat that it'll be nice to be able to get some new apparel with the pawprint.
Pat S, Worthington OH - 8/20/2007

There is something simple yet appealing about the pawprint and I'm THRILLED that it's back. I look forward to more items with it such as necklaces etc.
Nancy M, Sarasota FL - 8/20/2007

I'm glad to see the pawprint back! Ohio University has 2 very nice logos. Go BOBCATS!
Doug L, Tempe AZ - 8/20/2007

YAY!! I can't tell you how THRILLED I am to see the pawprint again!! It's about time! Time to get rid of that ugly attack cat and go back to only the pawprint!! :)
Jessica S, Columbus OH - 8/20/2007

This is the best news! Finally our beloved Paw Print is back!!
Lora M, Ashland OH - 8/20/2007

I LOVE THE PAW!!
Ashlee , Oxford OH - 8/20/2007

I graduated from OU in 1996. The pawprint was the logo at that time and is what I associate with OU. The attack cat is okay but I am so happy that the pawprint is back!
Kathryn R, Parma Ohio - 8/20/2007

Love the pawprint. So glad its back
Matt W, Cincinnati OH - 8/20/2007

Class of 197
Patrick Cullinan, Lakewood OH - 8/16/2007

I was very disappointed to realize the pawprint was no longer the sanctioned logo. Attack cat is not a pleasant-looking image.
Anne B, Columbus OH - 7/29/2007

Other schools already have the Paw Print - they even have Paw burgers in S.C.
Rick P, East Stroudsburg PA - 7/6/2007

I believe the Attack Cat is a much more effective logo and will sell more merchandise than the Paw Print logo. I believe fans like it much better
Jim C, Jeffersonville KY - 6/27/2007

I spent alot of time in Athens durring my college career and also as a former deputy of the county. I have seen both of the logos used and I believe that the attack cat logo is the best. I shows a new era in the college a positive one at that something that all students faculty and alumni can really rally around and is a positive influance on Ohio University.
Andrew M, Toledo OH - 6/21/2007

I'm an oldie I hate the MEAN looking cat. What happened to the cat that looked like a bobcat? How can such a beautiful place have such an UGLY logo? I dressed my daughter - who is now at OU- in attractive cat things and a happier green.
Gail B., Medina OH - 6/18/2007

I have been emailing writing and complaining for years that the Paw is an intregal part of many alumni's Ohio University experience. I was in school when the attack appeared and I have remained a loyal Paw fan. So much so that I'd buy something Clemson and paint it green and white if I could. Can't we have both or at the very least release some sort of alumni line of products that features the Paw?
Jeffrey H, Simpsonville SC - 6/12/2007

I can not stand the attack cat logo. The logo was changed the year I started OU. The pawprint is so much better not sure why they would mess with the logo if everyone liked it.
Kelli D, Sidney OH - 6/9/2007

Don't mess with a classic. (pawpring) The attack cat looks too much the University of Kentucky's wildcat!
Daniel E, Powell OH - 5/25/2007

The paw looks way too boring however the cat is something better.
Maria S, Reynoldsburg OH - 5/21/2007

Seriously this is ridiculous. Take a 'legacy' logo and discontinue it -- alienating alums across the nation? What's the point?
Chris, Derru PA - 5/16/2007

Hands down!..bring back the Paw ... scrap the Attack Cat
Andre P, Tallahassee FL - 5/16/2007

I could not believe the school changed to the attack cat my last year there WITHOUT STUDENT INPUT!! The attack cat is ugly and I refuse to own anything that has the thing on it. BRING BACK THE PAW!
Aimee O., York PA - 4/23/2007

The 'Pawprint' is cool. The 'Attack Cat' is too detailed I mean I'd have the OU logo on almost everything I owned... if I could draw it.
Colton, Wellston OH - 3/24/2007

I think the pawprint is better because that's what it was when my dad went there.
Todd D, Cincinnati OH - 3/16/2007

The logo was the pawprint when I attended OU. I would like to see it used again.
Janice B, Cleveland OH - 3/11/2007

The paw print is the traditional identification for OU. The University was built on tradition and should continue to keep something the same.
David T, Charlotte NC - 3/3/2007

I was at OU when the paw was the logo and we loved it - I was very disappointed to see the cat logo as I feel it is unattractive and the paw was much more fun!
Cheyenne, Cincinnati OH - 3/4/2007

You won't see me getting misty over a pawprint. I'm a '79 grad and I love that new Attack Cat on my license plates. Vroom.
Laurel J, Columbus OH - 2/13/2007
